Seit einigen Tagen ist der Rückenschmerz unter Kontrolle

Aus einem Email von Peter vom 16. April:
"Seit einigen Tagen ist der Rückenschmerz unter Kontrolle. Das ist eine riesige Erleichterung für alle. Ab und zu kann sie mit dem „Christbaum“ (So wird die Stange auf Rädern in der Umgangssprache genannt, an denen die verschiedenen Beutel mit flüssigen Medikamenten aufgehängt sind, die direkt in die Venen fliessen) im Gang einige Schritte machen. Seit die Vorphasentherapie begonnen hat, ist es ihr gelegentlich Übel und sie bekommt leichtes Fieber. Leider war dies zu erwarten, weil es bei den meisten der Fall ist. Die Ärzte und das Pflegepersonal sind sehr gut und behandeln sie wirklich nett. Heute startet die eigentliche Chemotherapie. Mariangela bekommt mehr und verschiedene Arten von Medikamenten. Deshalb ist jetzt keine andere Patientin mehr im gleichen Zimmer, weil sie anfälliger ist auf Bakterien, Pilze, Viren etc. Ihre Mutter ist jeweils den ganzen Tag bei ihr. Sie ist eine wunderbare Stütze. Alle Mitteilungen, Gedanken und Gebete helfen Mariangela sehr. Herzlichen Dank!"

From an email sent by Peter on April 16:

"Thank you for the magnific tree. It is really very beautiful and will get a special place. It will remind Mariangela of this difficult time every year in spring… showing that after winter, spring is coming. I can not take it to the hospital, but I will take a picture and take it to her. She will be very touched, especially also by the card.

Since a few days, the pain in the back is under control. This is a huge relief. From time to time she can walk on the floor, with the “Christmas tree”, as we call the thing where the bottles of the medicines are hanging, what she gets intravenously. Since the prephase therapy started, she feels sick sometimes and she gets slight fewer. Unfortunately this was to be expected because it happens for almost anybody. The nurses and doctors are very good and treat her nicely. Today starts the chemotherapy. She will get more and more different kind of medicine. Therefore there is not other patient in the same room anymore, because she will be more sensitive on bacteria’s etc. Her mother is with her all day long. This is a wonderful mental support. All the messages, thoughts and prayers really help her. Thank you!!!"
